Benjamin Franklin once said, “God helps those who help themselves.” I read that quote and remembered Jesus said that you must first remove the log from your eye before you remove the speck from your brother’s eye. When we first focus on fixing people, we are missing the key to all our problems. We need to fix ourselves first through personal growth. Rather than try and mold others to fit our lives we should focus on who we are and whom we are trying to become.
